The above piece is titled “Reduce Mental Illness Stigma” and was made because of my huge passion to increase awareness and education about mental illness and to reduce mental illness stigma and suicide. The woman in the illustration is crying green tears to represent the pain of bipolar disorder and other mental illness and the pain of mental illness stigma. She is crying green tears as green is the color used on the ribbon for  mental illness. Medium used was graphite pencil and green glitter acrylic paint for the tears.

This piece is titled “HOPE” and I drew ribbons on the letters that spell out the word HOPE to represent recovery, hope and survival. The teal ribbon is for Ovarian cancer in honor of my mom who has survived Ovarian cancer two times and is still living. I will always admire her strength, courage and perseverance. I love her hugely and am so blessed to still have her in my life to love and spend precious time with. Pink represents breast cancer, purple represents pancreatic cancer and green represents mental illness. There is always hope. Medium used is color pencils.

I was inspired to add some of my artwork on one post from the blogger… Irene https://theyoncecalledherpumpkin.wordpress.com/

She gave me the idea last night. I am also going to add a widget (or whatever you call it) to the top or side of my home blog page so when I add more artwork to a post I can continue to place the artwork there, as well. Thank you Irene for the idea.

I hope you like my artwork.

I sell my artwork and prints for a price, plus shipping and handling costs.

I will also draw a picture or artwork to your liking. If you give me an idea or a sample or a photograph I will draw it to your liking.

If you are interested in anything or if you have any questions, please make a comment and/or send me an email.

Thank you. I hope to hear from you soon.

May your days overflow with blessings. Hugs.

P.S. I attempted a watercolour butterfly today….. my daughter asked if she can frame it for her room so I guess it’s not that bad! Lol

    • Thank you so much. I always told my kids that I didn’t draw them… God did. They used to laugh at me and that idea when they were little and didn’t understand fully yet… until they found Jesus themselves and now live their lives for Jesus. Thank you so much for th compliment though really. People with bipolar are often creative. Wow! That is so cool. That your daughter wanted to frame your artwork. That is the best compliment you can get. How old is she? That is very cute and loving. She loves her Momma. I love that. You must be a natural artist for sure and you better keep working on your craft and obvious natural gift. I hope you are liking it too. Art and writing and doing anything creative are so therapeutic always. I have been writing a lot during my spare time and trying to learn how to be come a better blogger and learn about social media since I am kind of an amateur at that. I have a lot to learn about how to twitter and Instagram and things like that etc. I am looking forward to when I can get a new computer graphics program because I have so many ideas for that and then I think I will never get off the computer. I love computer graphics. I just have to find the time and buy it etc. Again… thank you for your great idea nd thank you for your wonderful compliment. I truly appreciate it… and thank you for listening or I should say reading my rambling on and on…. Hugs ❤

    • Thank you for your kind words. I truly appreciate them. I pray we can break the stigma. It is so very important and is a huge passion of mine. We all need to stick together and get rid of this horrific discrimination… which they call stigma it is greatly hindering people from getting better and getting help and is increasing substance abuse and suicide at alarming rates! Thank you for the look at my art and the read and the comment. Hugs. ❤
