We are Not Made of Plastic

We are not made out of plastic,

our minds cannot stretch like elastic.

You cannot pull me,

stretch me

hurt me,

or wound me.

I may never return to back to my original form,

after the trauma and tragedy, such a deadly storm.

My body and mind may never be the same,

too much pain, guilt, sorrow and shame,

wounded, broken, scarred and scared

my spirit and soul exposed and bared.

We cry for ourselves and for many others.

All united as one, friends, sisters and brothers.

Pray now, today and tomorrow

to end the pain and the sorrow.

“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.” ~Washington Irving

Keith Urban shares a beautiful story that will tug at your heart-strings and then sings an absolutely beautiful and touching rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”

You can see in Keith’s expression and eyes how deeply he has been touched and saddened by this horrific tragedy. We have all been impacted by this tragedy in some way. It has touched my heart and soul.

Please watch and listen as Keith Urban sings “Bridge Over troubled Water” on October 2nd at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater as the community gathered for a candlelight vigil to honor the victims of the Las Vegas shooting.

It is beautiful and touching. Thank you Keith Urban.
