Isolation, Loneliness and Reservations – Three Poems

Isolation

I am not alone in my isolation,

as many people are isolating at the same time.

We are not isolating together,

because then we would not be isolating at all.

Loneliness

I am not alone in my loneliness.

Many people are alone and lonely at the same time.

We are united in our loneliness,

but we are still alone.

Reservations

I have reservations

about making reservations.

When it is time for the reservation,

my bipolar mood pole may not want to go.

It is difficult to plan ahead with bipolar disorder,

but I reserve the right to cancel my reservations.

I must get rid of the reservations I have

about making reservations.
