A Tune in June “Lean on Me” if You Need a Friend…

“Lean on Me”

By Bill Withers

“Lean on Me” Lyrics

by Bill Withers

Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there’s always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you’re not strong
And I’ll be your friend
I’ll help you carry on
For it won’t be long
‘Til I’m gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Please swallow your pride
If I have faith you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you won’t let show

You just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you’ll understand
We all need somebody to lean on

Lean on me, when you’re not strong
And I’ll be your friend
I’ll help you carry on
For it won’t be long
‘Til I’m gonna need
Somebody to lean on

You just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you’ll understand
We all need somebody to lean on

If there is a load you have to bear
That you can’t carry
I’m right up the road
I’ll share your load

If you just call me (call me)
If you need a friend (call me) call me uh huh(call me) if you need a friend (call me)
If you ever need a friend (call me)
Call me (call me) call me (call me) call me
(Call me) call me (call me) if you need a friend
(Call me) call me (call me) call me (call me) call me (call me) call me (call me)

Music is amazingly powerful and is a universal language able to make a group of people happy and bring them joy at the same time. It is a beautiful thing to see. It can cause emotions to surface unexpectedly etc. Did you see James C car karaoke with Paul McCartney. It was absolutely amazing. I am not that huge of a Beatles fan but like some of their songs. This car karaoke really made me emotional – hearing the history of how and why he wrote some of his songs was very interesting and brings greater meaning to his songs for me now. So awesome. I will look into your Music Monday more often. I love music and it has helped me through some dark days, especially listening to my worship music. “A tune in June” was something I did every day during the month of June of 2017. I didn’t start it recently because I have been too busy and was worn out from two posts a day in May. Yikes. Thank s for your great feedback and sorry for my loooooong ramble. Hugs, Sue
